About

My Specialty is being a Generalist

The journey for me began in Washington DC working for Harry Weese on the Washington Metro project for a semester during my senior year at college Mississippi State University. Three years later I moved to Charlotte to work on the design team for the Charlotte Coliseum. My recent accomplishments were the design of the Daily Parking Deck for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Lejeune Hall Pool at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis Md and the South Charlotte Whole Foods at Waverly.

DOD:

At AECOM, Odell and Samaha, I gained experience on a variety of DOD projects working with both Corp. of Engineers and NAVFAC. Served as Project Designer, Project Architect and Project Manager.

Experienced in:

·        DOD project delivery systems: Design Bid Build and Design/Build.

·        Creating RFP and serving as Architect 1

·        Perfected Charrette Process while working at AECOM.

BIM:

Converted three offices to BIM: AECOM’s Charlotte Office, Samaha (Revit) in Fairfax Va and Shook Kelley (Archicad) Charlotte NC.

Virtual Construction and Virtual Mock-ups:

I was between projects when the COO of Mcmillan Pazdan Smith approached me about using Virtual Reality software to create a virtual mock-up. The search for VR software led us to a company that makes gaming software. The Revit model is linked into a gaming environment where team members and clients can move through the model as avatars or VR in real time.

My quest has always been to use technology to visualize designs and integrate building systems. I look forward to opportunity explore how I could help your team.
