The five old brick MDI Headquarters was becoming uninhabitable due to water leaking into the building from the foundation, roof, windows and walls. After a thorough investigation it was determined that were major flaws in both design and construction of the waterproofing and flashing systems. 

To correct the foundation problems the soil had to be removed from around the building. The walls were waterproofed and a new foundation drainage system was added. 

The brick walls and windows could not be fixed so the windows were removed and an integrated insulated wall and window system was added over the existing brick to guarantee the walls would not leak.
